Hebrews 10:1-18 - The sufficiency of the cross!
We can thank the Lord for so much. We can feel or show great joy and delight for this life of abundance. Even in the times of our greatest poverty we still make it through and have not want we want but we have everything that we need. Let’s say amen! We are to Pray without ceasing. This is God’s intended way for man to receive blessings from God. God responds to prayer. He moves and takes action when we reach out to Him through prayer. To give thanks in all circumstances is being completely surrendered to the Lord in all circumstances.
The spirit that is other than the Spirit of Christ is enemy of man and Christ. This other spirit, seeks to take hold of an individual, controlling that person which results in harm to the person and to others. This other spirit causes people to lose their sense of shame and live as if they have no conscience. This deceiving spirit will bring one to a place where they lack modesty and respect while enjoying the attention and delighting in the embarrassment of others.
This passage is a foundational truth, principles of life for every believer. This is how we are to live, this is what distinguishes us from the world, from the heathens, the pagans; the unsaved whatever you want to call it. This is the distinct behavior of those who truly belong to Christ, this is how we are separated from the world, by our love.
